Exterior
Exterior Information:
Zoom’s exterior is in excellent shape for a yacht of her age. The Hull is original gel coat and is in excellent condition as it is buffed and waxed regularly and maintains a high shine. There have been a few ‘touch ups’ in the high wear areas but no major damage or repairs.
The wide decks make it easy to move around and are the original factory moulded non-skid. It is very good underfoot and cleans well. The aft steps and cockpit area are finished with ‘Flexiteek’ brand synthetic teak. It is both attractive and functional.
The Cockpit and Helm station are enclosed with clears for weather protection with the ability to be opened up for ventilation and air flow when the weather permits. The front facing clears are new in 2020 and the sides are new in 2026. There are also sun shade side and aft curtains that can be interchanged with the clears.
From the helm, all four corners of the yacht are visible making docking an 8 meter wide catamaran easy. The helm seat is elevated but not separated from the main cockpit area so when on the helm, there is excellent visibility yet not separated from the passengers and crew.
There is ample deck storage for sails, water hoses, lines, fenders and even a dive compressor. In the cockpit, the under seat storage has space for multiple bins for spares and tools as well as cleaning supplies. The aft Starboard seat is set up with a refrigeration unit and can be used as either a dry locker or for additional refrigerated storage space on longer passages.
Under the cockpit floor is vented space for dinghy fuel, power cords and safety equipment like a large capacity manual bilge pump and drogue with warps.
The life raft storage is in a dedicated locker under the helm seat.
The port aft locker is a able to hold 4 scuba tanks and dive gear. The starboard aft locker is set up for line storage.
