The 'Learn to Cruise' Charter aboard ZOOM!

Our Learn to Cruise Charter is designed to be fun, and provide a safe non-threatening learning environment for couples that want to improve their cruising skills, gain a bit more experience, or just see what it is all about.

Offered for one or two couples that want to learn what it is really like cruising and living aboard for extended periods.  Find out if cruising and living aboard is really for you while sailing on a luxury catamaran with veteran cruisers Steve & Clare St. Onge.  

Explore the realities of cruising with an experienced cruising couple that can save you years of learning on your own and help make your dream a reality.  Our motto is “safety first” so you can be sure your voyage will be safe as well as an enjoyable learning experience.  The starboard hull cabin(s) will be your exclusive home for the week.

Guests are expected to participate in all aspects of the cruising lifestyle including:  meal planning and preparation, shopping for and stowing provisions, weather forecasting and cruise planning,  preparing for setting sail, sailing and operation of the vessel underway, navigation, anchoring and mooring.   Other topics such as Safety, Short-handed sailing considerations, maintenance, power management, water conservation, choosing the right boat and budgeting  can be covered in a casual and enjoyable non-threating environment.  (usually over cocktails at sunset).

Destinations will be based on weather and crew experience.   Overnight/distance sailing is optional on request.

Introductory option:    2 night 3 day Learn to cruise a catamaran (max 4 guests)  

Cost:  $3,450.00 two guests – 1 shared cabin   $5,450.00  four guests – 2 shared cabins

Weeklong option:    5 night 6 day Learn to cruise a catamaran (max 4 guests) 

Cost: $8,050.00 two guests – 1 shared cabin     $11,050.00 four guests – 2 shared cabins

Included: Private cabin with ensuite, Bed Linens and towels, Soft Drinks and filtered water, Re-usable water bottle.  Life vest and harness with AIS MOB for the duration of the voyage.

Not Included:  Food and Provisions, Alcoholic beverages.  (meal planning, preparation and provisioning will be a shared cost and part of the adventure)
